Abstract : This study investigates the influence of welding regime and welding angle on the mechanical properties of low
carbon steel bars (6 mm thick, 15 mm wide) welded using the shielded metal arc welding method (constant voltage 95 V,
current levels 80, 85, and 90 A).Experiments were carried out using spectrographic analysis, and mechanical tests, such as
tensile, and Vickersmicrohardness (HVMicrohardness). The results showed that the cutting angle affected the mechanical
properties, with yield and ultimate tensile strength increasing by 44.4% when the cutting angle was changed from 0° to
45°.The highest Vickers hardness value was observed at the center of the weld region, as approximately 175-191 HV
depending upon the electric current intensity employed during the welding process,The hardness of the base metal was
approximately. 150 ± 5 HV. Additionally, increasing the current from 80 A to 90 A decreased the mechanical properties.
