Paper Title
Digital Transformation & Development of SMES in Indonesia

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused economic distress worldwide, resulting in millions of people losing their jobs and struggling to survive. Despite this, the digitalization of businesses and widespread internet connectivity have enabled a number of e-commerce platforms in Indonesia to significantly empower SMEs in the country. This BA degree project aims to investigate the role of digital transformation in SMEs development in Indonesia. The project will involve the distribution of a questionnaire to at least 100 respondents consisting of economic students, SME merchants, lecturers in MIS or related fields, and consumers in Indonesia. The questionnaire will be designed to gather information on respondents' experiences, knowledge, and perceptions of digital transformation and its impact on SMEs development. The collected data will be analysed and discussed, and recommendations for the improvement of SMEs development through digital transformation will be provided. This project will highlight the importance of Management Information Systems (MIS) in a country's economic cycle and serve as a case study for other countries looking to boost their economies and develop their societies.
