Harmonic Mean Isentropic Exponent Based Thermodynamic Modeling And Optimization Of A Closed Cycle Reheat Gas Turbine Power Plant Cycle
Abstract
Investigation of closed cycle gas turbine power plant with reheater is performed on the basis of harmonic mean
isentropic exponent. Expression for the pressure ratio corresponding to maximum power and maximum dimensionless net
work output is derived analytically and it is found that the pressure ratio corresponding to maximum power and the maximum
non dimensional net work is high when the ratio of extreme temperatures of cycle (i.e. Tmax and Tmin) and isentropic
efficiencies of compressor and turbine (i.e. c and t) are.
