Evaluation of Varying Vane Angle of Domestic Centrifugal Pump Using CFD and Structural Analysis

Abstract
In this paper, the effect of vane angle change in systems of impeller pumps is analyzed. Different models of the centrifugal impeller of a single stage pump by changing the vane angle 160,180 and 200. 3D modeling will be done in Creo. Static analysis is performed on the impeller to determine stresses by applying the rotational velocity using different materials Structural Steel, Aluminum alloy, Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic and Borosilicate Glass. CFD analysis is also be done by applying the velocity of fluid to determine pressures developed and mass flow rates. Static and CFD analysis is done in Ansys.
