Ground Assisted Heat Pump - An Assessment

Abstract
Climatic reformation due to global warming, the diminution of fossil fuel sources and insistence for rising toxic wastes are the incentives for swapping conventional energy sources with natural resources. The ground assisted heat exchangers are among the best ever raising applications of the renewable energy for recent few decades. Despite the exercise of ground assisted or geo-thermal heat pumps for more than a few years market incursion, is still at its infancy. This study reviews heat pump studies in detail with the historical development of its ground assistance, and finally, studies conducted on ground source heat pump were reviewed.
