Drill Performance Study on A CFRP Rohacell Sandwich Structure
To investigate the effect of drilling on a CFRP rohacell sandwich composite structure using three different drill
bits by varying the parameters such as speed and feed.A composite work material has been outsourced.The variation of
responses such as thrust force,delamination factor and torque were analysed along with some qualitative responses such as
hole quality,core damage and interlaminar uncut fibers.Considering all the responses,it was observed that core drill is best
suitable for drilling operation in a CFRP rohacell composite
