Author :Jatinder Kumar, S.S. Katoch, Amit Kumar Singh

Article Citation :Jatinder Kumar ,S.S. Katoch ,Amit Kumar Singh , (2017 ) " Composting of Wet Waste Using Wood Ash and Composted Green Waste as Additive " , International Journal of Advances in Science, Engineering and Technology(IJASEAT) , pp. 12-15, Volume-5, Issue-3

Abstract : This paper presents the result of study investigated after the use of wood ash (WA) at 8% along with composted green waste (CGW) at different ratio (15%, 20%, 25%) as an additive in the wet waste .The combine addition of WA and CGW improved the quality of compost product and conditions of composting process in terms of composting pH, electrical conductivity, temperature, macro and micro nutrient contents. The compost matured in only 45 days with the bin composting method rather than in the 90-270 days typically required for traditional composting. The best quality of compost product is obtained with the combine addition of 8% WA and 20% CGW.
