Paper Title
Study On Flexural Behaviour Of Cantilever Beam Made Of Functionally Graded Material
Abstract
Abstract: Functionally graded materials are those in which the volume fractions of two or more materials are varied
continuously as a function of position along certain dimensions of the structure to achieve a required function. The material
properties of the beam vary continuously in the thickness direction according to the power-law form. A mathematical model
has been developed using principle of minimum potential energy for the deflection curve of a cantilever beam made of
functionally graded material. Maximum deflection curve of uniformly loaded cantilever beam using the above mathematical
model is determined.
