Paper Title
Fracture Toughness of Rolled Zircaloy-2 at Different Temperatures

Abstract
The fracture toughness and the mechanical properties of the zircaloy-2 processed by cryo rolling have been investigated using. The solutionised alloy was rolled at cryo temperature with different thickness reductions (25% to 85%) and further mechanical behavior has been investigated by tensile and compact tension test. The fracture surface morphology has been studied using SEM. The rolled sample shows better crack arrest capabilities due to larger back stress produced during loading. More the dislocation density larger is the fracture toughness. The fracture surface shows the reduction in dimple sizes with the increase in dislocation density because micro voids are formed due to severe strained induced during rolling.
