Abstract : This work represents a numerical study based on the simulation of a sandwich beam with an ABS honeycomb
core using the Ansys APDL calculation code. The transverse tensile modelling of the specimen enabled us to determine the
transverse Young's modulus and the fish coefficient. The application of the MSR response surface methodology in simple
transverse tension has led to mathematical models for the transverse modulus of elasticity (E) and Poisson's ratio (ν) as a
function of the basic parameters of a cell.
