Abstract : Incorporating inelastic structural analysis with seismic hazard assessment enables the computation of the anticipated seismic Performance of the structure, known as Performance-Based Seismic Engineering (PBSE). Pushover analysis is a static, nonlinear process that gradually increases the magnitude of the lateral force while preserving the preset distribution pattern throughout the building's height which can be utilised to determine a building's behaviour, such as the ultimate load and maximum inelastic deflection. Shear walls have been utilised as a component of the lateral load-resisting system in reinforced concrete structures, primarily due to their aptitude in regulating the displacement of building components. They offer considerable strength and stiffness and are equipped with the requisite deformation capacity (energy dissipation capacity) to meet seismic demands for high-rise constructions. This study investigated the pushover analysis of a reinforced concrete frame G+10 building, featuring both those with and without shear walls and shear walls containing openings, using ETABS software. Five building models, which incorporated an array of differing shear wall configurations, were created and scrutinised in terms of pushover curves, deflection, base shear, and hinge generation. Various comparisons were made amongst the parameters mentioned above across the models. The analysis is done for the modelled structures, which checks the Performance of the structures through different criteria and concludes that the RCC frames with shear walls exhibit higher base shear resistance compared to normal RCC frames. Shear wall inclusion reduces displacement, mainly Model 3, which demonstrates the least displacement. Shear walls effectively resist lateral forces, and openings in design maintain structural integrity while providing layout flexibility.
