Abstract : This paper focuses on the numerical analysis of rice polishing machine shaft with different blade widths and thicknesses. The diameter of rice polishing machine shaft is 22mm and the length of 400mm. The numerical analysis of rice polishing machine shaft was performed by using ANSYS 17 software. In this paper, von-Mises stress and effective strain are analyzed by changing the blade width of 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm and the thickness of 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm, respectively. The comparison results of theoretical and numerical of equivalent(von-Mises) stress and effective strain are presented. Although the equivalent (von-Mises) stress of all blade widths and thickness are less than allowable stress of the material, the blade width of 10mm and thickness of 6mm is chosen due to the broken efficiency is less than other two less blade widths and thicknesses and milling capacity is more than other two large blade widths and thickness.
