Abstract : The aim of this paper is to the study double layer barrel vault (DLBV) of 3D truss type. Barrel vault are popular way of spanning large areas with few intermediate supports Truss type double layer barrel vault is simple structural formation made up of network of longitudinal, transverse and braced member with curvature in one direction only. Truss type barrel vault are analyzed and designed for different load such as live load , wind load and the combination of loads. The truss type barrel vault is designed as per IS: 800-2007and analysis performed by using STAAD. Pro 2007. This work leads to the comparison on span, maximum deflection, self-weight and cost criterions. Keywords- Double Layer Barrel Vault, Wind Load And STAAD Pro2007.
