Abstract : The paper represents the evolution of quality inspection tasks in industries, and briefly discusses the types of
tasks and mode of performance. The author’s intention is to review the literature available in quality inspection tasks. and
also discuss the advantages and limitations of these tasks. The paper is an extended version of “ Advanced Manufacturing
Systems: A Review” authored by same author, where discussions of AMS technologies has been carried out.
