Abstract : Guided Wave technology developed for detecting metal loss and wall thinning in pipework. It is pulse echo system aimed at testing large volumes of material from a single test point, [1].It is initial application was for detecting corrosion under insulation in petrochemical plant , but it has found widespread use in other inspection situation where pipe or tubes are not accessibl.Unlike the other published paper which concentrate on detection of corrosion, in this paper the concentration is on signals evaluation techniques ‘’Focus Response’’ for close estimation of corrosion dimentions. However Guided Wave is known as corrosion monitoring method, by applying Focus Response evaluation techniques, it is possible to obtain details information of suspected features and severity of defects by means of defects extension around circumference of pipe without applying another conventinal technique.
