Abstract : The steel industry is quickly becoming the world over. Now a days for client construction cost and timeliness is most important priority with large working space that can be used for a variety of purposes. For the financially and least loss of material, pre-engineered building (PEB) concept is used in the industry in recent years. It saves money and provides more column-free space and many more advantages like reduced construction time, cost effectiveness, high quality, low maintenance, and consistent span. From last few years, various systems like solar panel, exhaust fan, sprinklers, pipes, electricalsystem, and mechanical conduits are installed on the rooftop of the pre-engineered buildings. New Pre-engineered buildings are designed by considering these types of additional futuristic loads, but in these days existing pre-engineered buildings are facing these problems, because of overload or additional loads the structural steel can cause damaged. Thereforesteel structures need to be strengthened structurally if they want their structural members to be able to handle more loads in the future. To overcome this effect reinforcing of the current construction is very important. Steel plate strengthening is a common technique due to its low cost, uniform material properties (isotropic), ease of use, high ductility, and fatigue strength. Strengthening of existing structures while they are under load or when the load is temporarily relieved is possible. Therefore in this paper studied the steel plate strengthening techniques on the PEB for additional futuristic loadis review from the available literature. The study concludes that, due to the availability and cheapness the steel plate strengthening is suitable for the existing pre-engineered building for additional loads. Keywords - Pre-Engineered Buildings; Existing Steel Structures; Structural Strengthening;Steel Plate Strengthening; Tapered Sections; Bending Moment; Additional Futuristic Loads.
