Abstract : This study aims to identify the most important drivers of a culture of quality and clarity in safety (CQCS) in
Saudi Arabian hospitals. Quantitative data from 417 surveys collected at national level were analyzed using structural
equation modeling. Findings from this study suggest that Feedback about Errors and Quality of Communication have a
strong role in fostering a culture of quality and safety. Findings also showthat hospital staff might be afraidof reporting errors
because of potential punitive responses to mistakes made on the job. Hospital leadership can capitalize on these findings to
implement preventive or corrective actionsaimed at ensuring acontinuous improvement of the healthcare system.
